BABY JACK
[April 15, 2008] Baby Jack was born on 12/21/07. At about four weeks of age, Jack's dam either scratched his eye or perforated it with her nail; she also
scratched his head quite a bit. Jack is a happy, healthy, active Jack Russell puppy. He shows no outward signs of having vision problems. He is very active, runs everywhere without running into things, has great depth perception and is a very affectionate little guy. He was recently seen at Eye Care For Animals and the vet there sees a nice calm eye now. There is no sign of infection or any immediate problem. I have the full report from the vet for anyone interested in this little tan and white sweetheart.
He has great social skills and bonds quickly with other dogs and new people. Jack will be a great addition to some lucky person's home. if you are interested please contact JRT rescue to fill out an application now.

These pictures are of a sweet young dog who needs our help. She was rescued from the right hand lane of southbound I-25 near the
Broadway exit. Cars were blowing past her and she was just sitting in the middle of the lane. Several kind souls stopped, one
blocked the lane with his flashers and another leapt out to grab her. Unbelievably, people were yelling and cursing at the rescuers, although
it could have been a person lying in the road!
One woman rushed her to Rio Bravo Veterinary Clinic -- she was bleeding from the mouth and it was unknown if she had any
broken bones. The latest update is that she is doing well, it looks like she took a blow to the head, and she has a fractured skull and a swollen
muzzle, but looks like legs/pelvis are okay. She does not appear to have any brain damage, and can lift her head and wag her tail. One of the rescuers will adopt this poor dog, and we hope that you can donate to a fund started to help offset the cost of veterinary care. If you can help out, please make the check payable to Rio Bravo Veterinary Clinic, indiate that it is for the "I-25 rescue dog," and mail it to them at: 240 Rio Bravo Blvd. SE; Albuquerque, NM 87105.
